Welcome to this Uncopyable Women in Business bonus fun fact episode. It's your chance to get to know each of my guests on a more personal level. I'm back with Charity Brown. Charity and I just recorded a really fun and value, valuable, value-packed episode. You've got to listen to the whole thing. It's episode 143, and she will tell you about her framework that includes the four Ps and so much more to help you succeed as an entrepreneur in a way that is profitable and is balanced. Charity, now we're going to shift gears and find out a little bit more about you on a personal level, not too personal. But I'm going to ask you the same five questions I ask every guest. It's always fun to hear your answers. And the first question is, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Charity:Yeah, I was always an innovator. And it's funny because I always would play office and I would draw pictures of like shopping malls and businesses. And I was always trying to sell something. So I think I knew that I was going to own a business. But I wasn't sure what an entrepreneur was then, but I knew that I was going to be the owner of my office.
Kay:And that came true. A lot of times I hear things like, I wanted to be a princess. But you sounded like you had some good self-knowledge, even back then. So my second question is, what is something that you want to do, you're going to do, but you haven't done yet?
Charity:Yeah, I would love to own Transformational Events Center. where I could have retreats, where people could come and do an accelerated version of the happy CEO and dial into their best self and vision and actually execute the plan and get all the tools and resources and get it going and fly home and off to a whole brand new life.
Kay:Wow. That would be very powerful. Keep me posted when you do that because... Sounds like something. The energy of having people together too is just so powerful, especially when we're doing so much online. So out of the many things that you have to offer, what is something that you especially like about yourself?
Charity:I love to be of service. Like I'm an empath. I'm a giver. It makes me happy to help people. So I think my heart is probably my best quality.
Kay:That's a good one. Is there something about yourself that you would like to change?
Charity:Yeah, because I'm a perfectionist and I need to let it go. Why do you need a lot of what? I need to let it go. I'm also a control freak and I've actually had to drop the control position I had in life for a long time as a business owner. I've just felt like I had to control everything and it's just not helping.
Kay:If it makes you feel any better, that's a common theme among really successful women that I've talked to about wanting to be in control, being a perfectionist. So unfortunately, I think it comes with that package. So it's just a constant battle fighting that. So let's end on a fun note. And so far, what is your favorite vacation spot?
Charity:Oh, well, I went to Vietnam and Cambodia this November of last year. And then I went to Africa and Zanzibar like three months ago. It's like a tie between Vietnam and Zanzibar. I've never been a place where everyone's so kind and loving and the food is just mind-blowing. I'm going to say Vietnam, actually, just because... Yeah, absolutely.
Kay:That's a great answer. And I believe unique answer. I have heard Africa, but I don't believe I've heard Vietnam. And I mentioned before we started, I think that I take piano lessons and my piano teachers much younger, and she just went to Vietnam, so I'm going to have to ask her a little bit more about that. Once again, you listening, that was really fun to learn more about you, Charity, but you've got to go listen to episode 143, because not only are you going to hear this powerful interview, the transcript will be there, and I'm going to put the links to Charity's website and her many resources and the way to work with her if you would so choose, which you probably will. Charity, once again, thank you for taking this time to spend with me and my listeners who you and I, as you said, I am an empath. Also, I really want to help people. And this podcast has already helped so many women. And as I told you, men, a lot of men listeners, I love you guys, all of you. Charity, thank you once again.
Charity:Thank you, Edith. Have a beautiful day. Thank you so much, Kate.
Kay:Thanks for listening to this episode of Uncopyable Women in Business. Please subscribe, share, rate, and review the show. Thanks again and see you next time.
